One thing everyone must know about sustainability

I will never forget what I have heard from one of the most popular now documentary movies. Of course, the topic is not new, but it is shocking.

There is big hype now on the Seaspiracy movie, and I don't say everyone should watch it as it is intense for highly sensitive people. However, I wanted to see the film as I have heard and read a lot about fish farms that are not good for humans or the environment.

Yes, I learned how bad these fish farms are and how the fish market is corrupted; it involves forced labour and, e.g., kills tens of dolphins when wanting just a couple of tunas. I will not elaborate on this topic. If you're going to find out more, go and give it a watch and most importantly, do the research yourself, do not rely on one source only. All I wanted to say is you must know that the word "sustainability" is highly misused in the fishing industry, and there is no such thing as sustainably caught fish.

If there is demand, there will always be supply. So to stop the negative impact of industrial fishing on biodiversity, and human and animal rights, we need to reduce fish and seafood intake or give up eating fish unless we can catch that fish ourselves or maybe know some small family fisherman business.

No one can do everything, but anyone can do something.

I know it is not solving climate change and all addressed in the movie issues, but at least we can defend the purest and most innocent creatures before we lose them forever.

Thanks for visiting,

Bye-bye for now!
